| Born in 1975 in Southern California, Alan M. Schwartz has been
creating art ever since he was a small child. From the moment that he first
picked up a crayon, he was coloring everything within his reach, including the
walls. Before too long, he changed tools from crayons to ink, color pencils,
pastels, and eventually to paints. At an early age, Alan began to utilize the
camera as a tool by using pieces of his photographs and making collages to
create more realistic paintings.
As his formal introduction to fine art, Alan learned the fundamentals from such
masterful artists as John Ursello, Ernie Dolman and Miguel Ramirez, who won the
award for Best Artist in Mexico. Just before his
senior year in high school, Alan was accepted into the California State Summer School for
the Arts, (CSSSA). Alan earned his way into the prestigious and competitive
Visual Arts Program at Los
Angeles County High School of the Arts (LACHSA). Following his high school
graduation, he was immediately accepted into California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). While in
college, Alan began working his first two jobs in the art industry; one was as
a Studio Photographer and the other was as a Life Drawing and Painting
Instructor at a private art school called Young at Art (now SCV Arts).

Alan has conducted countless photography sessions, and has created and sold
thousands of beautiful photographs. Fine art collectors and appreciators across
the United States have invested in Alan Schwartz's timeless artwork. His
original portraits and Dreamscapes can be found in California, Oregon,
Washington, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, Arkansas, Texas and
